Title: “Zero Trust Network Access: Enhancing Secure Remote Access for Public Sector in the Cloud Era”

Abstract: In today’s increasingly remote and cloud-driven world, public sector organizations face new challenges in providing secure access to critical applications for their employees and third parties. Traditional VPNs no longer suffice, and a more robust, scalable solution is required. This 25-minute session will explore the concept of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) as a modern, vendor-neutral approach to secure remote access, focusing on solutions like Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and their integration with traditional data centers and public cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services. Join us as we discuss how state and local government agencies, as well as public education institutions, can benefit from implementing ZTNA solutions to ensure secure, seamless, and policy-based connectivity while minimizing network exposure and simplifying access management.

Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
