Amazon Web Services (AWS) stands out as the world’s largest cloud platform, not only because of its extensive capabilities but also due to its vibrant ecosystem of service providers and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). This ecosystem is a powerhouse, enabling clients to browse, evaluate, and acquire myriad services and products directly through the AWS Marketplace.

What is AWS Marketplace?

AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using the software and services that run on AWS. Imagine it as the Amazon Prime of business solutions: just as you scroll through Amazon Prime to pick and purchase products, AWS Marketplace offers a similar ease of use but for business-critical applications and services.

Why AWS Marketplace?

Ease of Use and Speed

The primary appeal of AWS Marketplace lies in its simplicity and speed. Businesses can quickly identify gaps in their environments—from engineering and technical needs to financial operations—and fill them with just a few clicks. This accessibility is invaluable for organizations looking to adapt swiftly in a dynamic market.

Flexibility in Purchasing

Whether you need a solution on a consumption basis or prefer a 12-month term, AWS Marketplace accommodates different purchasing preferences, which enhances its utility for diverse business strategies.

Immediate Access to Innovations

With AWS Marketplace, the latest innovations are at your fingertips. Businesses can access a wide range of up-to-date tools and services, enabling them to stay ahead in their respective industries without the delays typically associated with software deployment.

How Can AWS Marketplace Benefit Your Business?

  1. Comprehensive Solutions: Whether you’re looking for a Cloud Security Posture Assessment (CSPA) or a specific technical service, AWS Marketplace hosts a vast array of options to meet every need.

  2. Cost-Effectiveness: By offering services and products on demand, AWS Marketplace allows businesses to pay for only what they use, reducing wasted resources and optimizing budget expenditure.

  3. Streamlined Operations: The ease of acquiring and deploying solutions means businesses can respond more rapidly to market changes and internal demands, thus improving overall agility.

Conclusion

The AWS Marketplace isn’t just a tool; it’s a strategic asset that empowers businesses to operate more efficiently and effectively. Cost Optimization

Issue: Small AWS deployment with little management oversight and a lack of cloud skills internal to the organization moving from traditional infrastructure to SaaS and cloud based solutions.

What we did

  1. AWS Audit
  2. Cost Optimization Review
  3. Ongoing Monitoring

Result:

  • Eliminated unused storage volumes and the old application server no longer in use, the charges for AWS resulted in a savings of 51% per month.
  • We’ll continue to monitor AWS billing and finance to ensure maintenance of savings and identify other future changes.
